EXPLORING CAREER PATHS WITH CAREER CARDS
A CAREER GUIDE FOR SCHOOL STUDENTS
The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India, in collaboration with UNICEF India and NCERT, released the “Career Guidance Book” on the eve of Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam on 29th July 2024.
This guidance and counselling innovative resource features 500 detailed "Career Cards" designed to help students make informed decisions about their future.

Major Dhyan Chand
- Dyan Chand was an Indian Field Hockey player
- His Birthday 29th August is celebrated as National sportsday in India every year.
- Dhyan Chand is best known for his key role in securing three Olympic gold medals for India in hockey in 1928, 1932, and 1936.
- He was also honored with the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award, in 1956.

Hiroshima And Nagasaki Day
Hiroshima Day is a day of remembrance for the victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. This day is observed on August 6 every year. Nagasaki Day marks the solemn anniversary of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki, Japan, on August 9th, 1945, during World War II; so, it is observed annually on August 9th.
The horrors of ‘Little Boy’ on August 6th followed by ‘Fat Man’ on August 9th sparked global discussions on nuclear disarmament. This year marks the 79th anniversary of the nuclear attack which led to Japan’s surrender during World War II.
